2012 is here
So, 2012 is here – it’s 3am on Sunday 1st of Jan 2012 – that is it’s still Saturday night – downstairs Candys is packed – most of the clubs in the cross close tonight because it’s double and triple pay and most Sydney siders are at the fireworks… still heaps of Candys devotees come to the club like it’s the only bomb shelter during a an attack… they flock and they dance and they party… it was wierd to see the street so quiet and yet queues of people outside Candys.. must admit I love it – great having the club that’s always full.
NYD (tonight) is going to be to the real busy one – I expect nearly double the crowd to turn up.. it’s how it goes – not really sure why or how but Sydney siders have an insatiable appetite for partying. God bless their lost souls…
Someone asked me what big things we have planned – and we do have big things planned – we just haven’t announced them – but I guess where people don’t really get us is how throw things together – the method is simple – we have a massice crew of over 70 deejays and so many promoters, bookers, and event staff – over 100 people – and I just stand out side the club on a busy night and talk to them as they float by. The intelligence of such a big crew of people and the latent potential is amazing.. it’s all a matter of talking to people and finding out what and how they can contribute. That’s how we shake action – but looking within our team…
So, what big things do we have planned for 2012? Not sure yet – just got to talk to the team.. and see what comes out of it.. no doubt something will – but one thing for certain is; the beat goes on and so do we. Tal over and out.
